Silvia Pennino has obtained her BSc cum laude in Naval Engineering in January 2006 and MSc degree cum laude in Naval Engineering in October 2008 at University of Naples “Federico II”. Since 2011 to 2014 she has been a PhD student in Aerospace, Naval and Quality Engineering at the University of Naples “Federico II”, the main topic of his dissertation was been the numerical assessment of motions in rough sea for planing hulls. During her doctoral studies she has been a visiting PhD student at University of Rijeka, Croatia, Faculty of Engineering. On May 2014 she successfully defended her PhD dissertation entitled: “Vertical Motion Assessment for Planing Hulls”. Currently, she is a Post-Doc at Parthenope University and her main researcher topic includes ship maneuverability and seakeeping.
