Vincenzo Piscopo is an Associate Professor - S.C. 09/A1 “Ingegneria Aeronautica, Aerospaziale e Navale” S.S.D. ING-IND/02 “Costruzioni e impianti navali e marini” - at the University of Naples “Parthenope”, Department of Science and Technology, since December 2017. In April 2017, he obtained the Italian Associate Professorship Qualification in the same sector. From January 2016 to December 2017, he worked as junior researcher (RTDa) at the same University, where he also was postdoctoral researcher from October 2012 to April 2015. At the end of December 2009, he obtained the Ph.D. in Aerospace, Naval and Quality Engineering at the University of Naples “Federico II”, where he earned cum laude the Master and Bachelor Degrees in Naval Engineering in July 2006 and July 2004, respectively. His research activity involves ships and marine structures, with particular reference to non-uniform torsion, buckling and ultimate strength analysis of platings affected by pitting corrosion wastage, mooring design and optimization, dynamics of offshore structures and design of wave energy converters.
